Depicted here is a classic cap profile, known often as a gallery frame, in solid walnut, joined with wood splines, hand finished in clean 12kt white gold leaf at the face with contrasting ebonized black stain on the sides allowing the wood grain to be visible.

The client's artwork, an Andy Warhol Flowers print, is floated on a museum rag platform and spaced away from the underside of the glazing using an 8 ply bevel matting.

Stability of the narrow frame is created by using a wood strainer support.
