In addition to the frames that we make using Angle Steel, we use flat bar steel and a wooden substrate to construct our Flat Iron frames. We weld, grind, and finish the steel face the same way we would with one of our Angle Steel frames, but we then paint the sides of the wooden substrate and attach it to the steel face using decorative screws or bolts. For those who would prefer not to see screws on the face of their frame, we can bolt the substrate to the steel face from behind. One key feature of our Flat Iron frames is that the wooden substrate can be milled to whatever custom depth is required, giving you the flexibility to create custom frames for deep objects.
