Following his education at the Beaux Arts de Toulon and the Academie de Peinture de la Ville de Paris, Guy Buffet’s paintings gained international acclaim. He later served in the French Navy as the official artist, allowing him the opportunity to paint throughout the world and document a wide variety of cultures. His artistic ambitions brought him from France to Hawaii, where he continued to solidify his whimsical style and capture diverse landscapes and subjects. Throughout his lifetime, he stayed eager to travel the world on the lookout for artistic inspiration.
